The Complete Adoption
Services of Family Counseling Clinic, Inc., with our programs in
China, Azerbaijan,
Poland and Vietnam, as well
as our work
with other U.S. based agencies, can help each family sort out the issues that
will lead to an adoption from an appropriate country. International adoption has
grown in recent years with the availability of more infants and young children.
At first glance the international adoption process may seem
overwhelming to
families. With over thirty-three years of
experience, the
Complete Adoption Services staff of Family Counseling Clinic will support
and guide you step by step through the process.
In order to adopt internationally, families must complete a home
study, complete Bureau of Citizenship
and Immigration Services, and fulfill requirements for the country where
the child resides by completing a dossier.
A dossier is a collection of documents which are necessary to meet the legal
requirements for adoption in foreign countries as well as the immigration
requirements of the U. S. government.
The process for international adoption follows three
separate paths.
Path 1 - Adoption
Home Study Path
Path 2 - The
Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration
Services (USCIS)
Path
Path 3 -
The Dossier Documentation Path
